Presid ent Nayib Bukele celebrated the rebirth of El Salvador this Christmas season.
Thousands of citizens attended the Christ Parade this year to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Bukele posted video from the historic Christmas parade this week.
President Nayib Bukele: El Salvador was always an underdeveloped country, but the worst place, the most dangerous, abandoned and battered, was the Historic Center of San Salvador.
It was an area destroyed by earthquakes, a civil war, decades of disorder, and more than 30 years of gangs. It was called the “Historic Center” because the true city center had shifted, and that place was left to its fate.
Recovering it is much more expensive and difficult than simply developing a new area, but achieving it is a clear and undeniable demonstration of the rebirth of El Salvador.
El Salvador siempre fue un país subdesarrollado, pero el peor lugar, el más peligroso, abandonado y golpeado, era el Centro Histórico de San Salvador.
