The weather outside was frightful.

So much so that ESPN’s Skycams experienced technical issues during Saturday’s Pinstripe Bowl between Penn State and Clemson at Yankee Stadium after the winter storm that struck the region Friday night.

“We do have some technical difficulties. One thing that’s been impacted because of the snowstorm, the blizzard that hit New York last night, is [that] our Skycam is not working right now,” ESPN broadcaster Dave Pasch announced on air.

New Yorkers woke up on Saturday to roughly 4 inches of snow, which created havoc for post-Christmas travelers, though it failed to reach the levels that officials and forecasters had predicted earlier on Friday.

The snow created a scenic atmosphere for the Nittany Lions and Tigers’ final game of the 2026 college football season at the annual bowl game held in The Bronx.

It was a winter wonderland at Yankee Stadium, with Clemson’s Tiger mascots basking in the fun, as a social media video showed them throwing snowballs at one another.

The snow did lead to fans showing up to find the fluffy white stuff in their seats, according to a video posted by the York Daily Record’s Frank Bodani

The first two quarters of Saturday’s game were rather uneventful, and the two teams went into halftime with Penn State leading 6-3 thanks to two field goals from kicker Ryan Baker.
