Bruce Springsteen To Perform At Kamala Rallies In Atlanta, Philadelphia

Bruce Springsteen is slated to perform at Kamala Harris rallies in the battleground states of Georgia and Pennsylvania in the coming days as the Democratic candidate attempts to pull ahead in the polls.

The performances set for Atlanta on Thursday and Philadelphia next Monday are part of a series of concert events called “When We Vote We Win.” Former President Barack Obama will join the 75-year-old recording artist at both rallies. Harris is only scheduled to make a personal appearance at the Atlanta event.

Additional stops are expected to be announced leading up to Election Day.

Springsteen is a longtime Democrat supporter who campaigned for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and campaigned for President Joe Biden in 2020. “The Boss” also performed at the Inauguration Day rally for Biden in January 2021.

The New Jersey native officially endorsed Harris for president in a recorded video message earlier this month.

“Perhaps not since the Civil War has this great country felt as politically, spiritually, and emotionally divided as it does at this moment,” Springsteen said in the clip, which was filmed at a diner in Freehold, New Jersey, and shared on multiple social media platforms.

“It doesn’t have to be this way. … Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone, regardless of class, religion, race, your political point of view, or sexual identity, and they want to grow the economy in a way that benefits all, not just a few like me on top. That’s the vision of America I’ve been consistently writing about for 55 years.”

The Harris campaign has been using celebrity endorsements to their advantage. Rap artist Eminem introduced former President Barack Obama at a Harris rally in Detroit on Tuesday night. The rapper didn’t perform, but he did give some remarks on the upcoming election, saying, “People shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution of what people will do if you make your opinion known.”

“I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld,” Eminem said.

Obama also repeated some of the lyrics from Eminem’s hit single “Lose Yourself” during the event.
