A US-made Bradley Fighting Vehicle and Abrams battle tank were deployed together to successfully take out Russian treeline positions in the Kursk region, according to the Ukraine Ministry of Defense.
“A legendary American duo in service with #UAarmy,” the Ministry of Defense boasted on X. “US-made Bradley IFV and Abrams tank are performing a combat task in the Kursk region, destroying russian treeline positions.”
Kyiv posted action-riddled video of the armored American vehicles Thursday, showing them racing along the frontlines and firing a multitude of bullets, rockets and incendiary shots at Russian troops hiding along a forest line.
The vehicles, deployed with Ukraine’s 47th Mechanized Brigade, unloaded missiles and machine-gun fire across the entrance of the forest to push back Moscow’s hidden forces, leaving the battlefield covered in smoke from the relentless assault.
Ukraine has repeatedly touted the successes of its Bradley Fighting Vehicles, more than 300 of which have been deployed to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in early 2022.
Weighing nearly 28 tons, the Bradley, known as the “battle taxi,” is faster and maneuvers the battlefield better than most tanks on the Ukrainian frontlines while capable of carrying six soldiers.
The vehicle is equipped with a 25-millimeter cannon capable of firing armor-piercing rounds and a guided missile launcher that can decimate Moscow’s armored fleet.
The fleet of Bradleys have been key to Ukraine’s successful counterattack in the Kursk region, where Russia has struggled to remove Kyiv’s forces.
The region is likely to see renewed intensity after NATO’s confirmation that North Korean soldiers have been spotted there, with the Pentagon warning that 10,000 Pyongyang soldiers are being trained for the frontlines in Russia.
