Podcaster Joe Rogan opened up about Vice President Kamala Harris’ potential interview and revealed that he had given her team an “open invitation” to appear on his show.
On Wednesday during “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the host said that it was Harris’ team who first reached out to him about appearing on his show after her campaign learned that former President Donald Trump was coming in for an interview.
“She [Harris] had an opportunity to come here when she was in Texas and I literally gave them an open invitation,” Rogan explained on his show, hitting back at claims he was somehow being a “diva” about their interview. Harris held a rally in Texas last Friday with both Willie Nelson and Beyonce making appearances.
“I said ‘anytime, if she’s done at ten o’clock we’ll come back here at ten o’clock,’” he added. “I’ll do it at nine in the morning, I’ll do it at ten PM. I’ll do it at midnight if she’s up and she wants to drink a Red Bull, f***ing party on.’”
“So their camp reached out to me, so I said ‘great. I would love to talk to her,’” Rogan continued. “But it was very difficult to tie it down. They wanted to travel and see the thing is, if I go somewhere then there’s going to be other people in the room, and they want to control a lot of things, I’m sure, according to the Bret Baier interview on Fox. That’s a distraction.”

The podcast host said that his goal was to simply sit down across the table from Harris and have a conversation, to get to know the person who wants to become the President of the United States as a human being — as he did with Trump.
“You find out things about people. You get a sense of them at least or a real sense, that’s it,” Rogan said. “I just want to talk to ya. Who the f*** are ya?”
On Tuesday, Rogan broke his silence about trying to line up an interview with Harris, and said he had offered both Harris and her opponent, Trump, an invitation to appear on his show, as previously reported.
“For the record, the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour,” Rogan wrote on X.
“I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” he added. “My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen.”
Last week, Rogan and Trump sat down and had a wide-ranging conversation for three hours in a podcast that has since garnered 40 million views.
