GLENDALE, Ariz. — They torched the Texans and all systems were go for Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams.
Go ahead and pick your poison, Cardinals. Good luck with that. Especially with a rested Aaron Rodgers.
And this was Adams after Cardinals 31, Jets 6:
“We have too many good players to go out there and have as many drives we did and not score touchdowns.”
And this was Wilson:
“We gotta find a way to finish and score touchdowns.”
Adams (6-31 on 13 targets) didn’t catch a pass in the first half and nothing longer than 14 yards.
“I don’t think we had the energy that we’ve had the last two weeks,” Adams said.
Wilson (5-41) didn’t have a catch longer than 12 yards.
“Energy’s not there ’cause we’re playing like trash,” Wilson said.
Adams was hard on himself for not corralling what would have been a three-yard TD pass early in the third quarter.
“I don’t know if it got tipped, but it got right by the guy’s hand and got up on me,” Adams said. “It’s a play that I obviously gotta make. It was weird stuff like that all day.
“I gotta do a better job and finish that play that I had, that opportunity in the end zone regardless of the ball’s tipped or whatever, which I’m not even so sure that it was, but it was really close. It’s one of those ones that you gotta figure out regardless.”
Adams and Rodgers in their fourth game together as Jets did not connect on a pass that was nowhere near Adams in the second quarter.

“I don’t think we practiced that play that we were running against that particular look, so I think what he was looking for was potentially something quicker just based off of the pressure he was getting,” Adams said.
No Dynamic Duo on this day. Dynamic Dud instead.
Why does it seem so hard for this offense so often?
“I don’t know, man,” Wilson said. “I wish I knew. I don’t even know if I’d tell you, but I would feel better about it if I knew. I don’t know. It’s frustrating, man.”
