Francisco Lindor spotted at LAX — is he joining Mets’ Juan Soto pitch meeting?

Francisco Lindor was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Sunday night as the Mets are preparing to meet with superstar free agent Juan Soto and his agent Scott Boras in Southern California.

But was the National League MVP finalist there to join owner Steve Cohen for his sales pitch?

While Lindor did not answer that question in a video captured at the airport, The Post has learned that Lindor was actually in town for a photoshoot with Oakley and has since returned to his Florida home, and there are no plans for him to be part of the Mets contingent that will meet with Soto and Boras.

The Mets have not yet held their meeting with Soto.

The Post’s Mike Puma first reported on Thursday that Cohen planned to travel to SoCal this week to meet with Soto and Boras.

Cohen may also meet with other Boras clients who just hit free agency, a group that includes pitchers Corbin Burnes and Blake Snell and third baseman Alex Bregman.

Longtime Mets first baseman Pete Alonso is also a Boras client.

Soto is a finalist for American League MVP, an award expected to be won by his Yankees teammate, Aaron Judge; Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. is the other finalist.

The competition for Soto is expected to be fierce, with the Blue Jays likely to be key players along with the Mets and Yankees.

The 26-year-old hit a career-high 41 home runs during his lone season in pinstripes, hitting .288 with a .989 OPS, 109 RBIs and 128 runs.

He then hit .327 with four homers, nine RBIs and a 1.101 OPS in 14 playoff games.

Hal Steinbrenner and Aaron Boone will be part of a Yankees contingent that meets with Soto and Boras.

Lindor helped carry the Mets during their surprise run to the NLCS and was named an NL MVP finalist on Monday along with the Diamondbacks’ Ketel Marte and the surefire winner, Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani.

Lindor hit 33 home runs with 91 RBIs, a .273 average and .844 OPS while playing a Gold Glove-caliber shortstop.
