Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego on Sunday said that Immigration and Customs Enforcement is Trump’s personal “good squad” and should be “totally torn down.”
“I think ICE needs to be totally torn down. It has to be, you know, created in the image of what people want,” Gallego told host Jake Tapper on CNN’s State of the Union.
It should be remembered that more than 77 million Americans voted for Donald Trump to surge ICE into cities and execute mass deportations. Most people want this.
Gallego then accused ICE of not going after criminals, using warrants to arrest illegal aliens, or being focused on national security.
Instead, it’s a “goon squad that has come from Stephen Miller and Donald Trump,” he said.
He further likened the agency to a “third-world police force.”
“What we’re seeing right now is not what we want from ICE. And we can create and have a force that’s actually focused on immigration and on security and not this type of intimidation that’s happening right now,” Gallego said.

Gallego: I think ICE needs to be totally torn down. It has to be, you know, created in the image of what people want, right? And what does that look like? From my experience running in Arizona, in a very hard, hard state when it comes to immigration and immigration issues, people want immigration enforcement that goes after criminals, and focuses on criminals, and immigration enforcement is actually focused on security, and not the goon squad that has come from Stephen Miller and Donald Trump. One that issues warrants, one that doesn’t have people masked and acting like, you know, we’re a third-world police force. What we’re seeing right now is not what we want from ICE. And we can create and have a force that’s actually focused on immigration and on security and not this type of intimidation that’s happening right now.
This comes as leftwing rioters take over Minneapolis, repeatedly clashing with and assaulting law enforcement following the shooting death of Renee Good, a deranged leftist who attempted to run down an ICE agent in her vehicle.
President Trump has placed 1,500 active-duty troops on standby to potentially quell the riots in Minnesota.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey responded to the move on Sunday, declaring, “We’re not going to be intimidated” and threatening more violence until ICE leaves the city.

Jordan has played a critical role in exposing fraud and corruption in Arizona’s elections and elected officials. His reporting on election crimes in Maricopa County led to the resignation of one election official, and he was later banned from the Maricopa County press room for his courage in pursuit of the truth. TGP and Jordan finally gained access after suing Maricopa County, America’s fourth largest county, and winning at the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
