Widow Erika Kirk announces ‘Make Heaven Crowded Tour’ following husband’s assassination

Erika Kirk, the widow of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, announced the launch of her “Make Heaven Crowded Tour” to an audience of thousands at a Riverside church on Wednesday night.

The nationwide Christian revival tour is set to visit 30 cities this year, after the evangelical leader assumed leadership of her late husbands’ organization, Turning Point USA.

Kirk received a standing ovation during the event Harvest Christian Fellowship, with the event live-streamed to fellow Harvest churches in Irvine and Hawaii, the Orange County Register reported. Many of the worshippers wore T-shirts featuring images of Charlie Kirk and President Donald Trump.

“This tour is so special to me because I wanted … to bring a slice of heaven from my husband and bring it to everyone around this county so that they could have that extension, and that beauty and that palpable feeling of the Holy Spirit,” Kirk said.

Her husband was assassinated while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in September. His public debates had gained him national attention and strengthened his bond with President Trump.

“This is why this tour exists,” Kirk said on Wednesday. “It’s unifying … when this nation rises up and prays for this nation and is in revival.”

Kirk said that she did not want to allow her husband’s killing to become a footnote and was committed to continuing his legacy.

“Church is never meant to retreat from culture. We will change this country. We will change this world,” she said.

“When you trust in the Lord, you have no idea what you can bear until you’re tried.”

The event was also met with resistance, with about 60 protesters gathered outside the church blowing whistles and chanting, “No ICE, no Trump, no KKK.”
