Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit sent Epstein flirty, fawning emails: ‘You tickle my brain’

Norway’s scandal-plagued Crown Princess Mette-Marit has been forced to apologize once again after the latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein documents revealed she wrote fawning and flirty emails to the pedophile sex-trafficker.

Mette-Marit, the 52-year-old wife of King Harald V’s only son, found herself apologizing again for her years-long friendship with Epstein after she was named in several files released on Friday, the BBC reported.

An email exchange between the two showed how the crown princess was privy to Epstein’s love life, with the disgraced financier messaging her in 2012 to help him meet young Scandinavian women — a decade after her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon.

“What is the weather like, I am on my wife hunt. paris is proving interesting but i prefer scandinavians [sic],” Epstein wrote Mette-Marit.

“Am still trying to get over the shock that you are in fact wife hunting ..,” the princess responded.

“Two norweivans [sic] here, 24 and 25 . , I like oslo,” Epstein wrote.

“My god! U Must be drunk spelling mistake. The girls are 24 & 25? I like Oslo too. Call me tmr,” Mette-Marit responded.

In another exchange, Epstein appeared to share a serious science article with the princess, with the pedophile joking that he hoped it didn’t make her sad given that she prefers “to live in the land of make believe.”

“You always make me smile,” Mette-Marit reassured him. “Because you tickle my brain.”

None of the emails released so far have ever linked the princess to Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, with the palace emphasizing that Mette-Marit never visited the late-pedophile’s private island.

Mette-Marit had previously stated in 2019 that she had known Epstein between 2011 and 2013, with the princess issuing a renewed apology over the weekend following the release of the latest files.

“I deeply regret that, and this is a responsibility I must take,” she said in a statement to local broadcaster NRK. “I showed poor judgment and regret having any contact with Epstein at all. It is simply embarrassing.

“Jeffrey Epstein is responsible for his actions. I must take responsibility for not checking Epstein’s background better and for not understanding quickly enough what kind of person he was,” she added.

The files are only the latest scandal that has rocked the royal family, with Mette-Marit’s son from before her royal marriage, Marius Borg Høiby, 29, currently standing at the center of Norway’s biggest trial in years.

Høiby, who is not considered a public figure despite being the stepson of the crown prince, is facing 38 charges, including the rape of four women and assaulting and threatening a girlfriend.

If found guilty, Høiby could face more than 10 years in prison.

Mette-Marit, who remains out of the public eye as she deals with an incurable lung disease, has been a controversial figure ever since her 2001 wedding to Crown Prince Haakon — heir to the Norwegian throne.

The pair met at a music festival when “commoner” Mette-Marit was dating a known convicted trafficker. Høiby’s father, also a convicted drug felon, was the roommate of Mette-Marit’s boyfriend at the time.
