SAN JOSE, Calif. — As Sam Darnold and Drake Maye shared an interview stage for all the world to see at Super Bowl opening night, two other opposing quarterbacks tried to meet up in a dimly lit corner of the convention center.
Seahawks backup Drew Lock and Patriots third-stringer Tommy DeVito were not just Giants teammates last season.
They were fast friends thrust into awkwardly flip-flopping on the depth chart for seven games after the Giants benched and released Daniel Jones.
And now they find themselves on opposite sides of Super Bowl LX.
