Lamar Jackson delivers Ravens fan special present after making NFL history

Lamar Jackson played Santa Claus on Wednesday night.

Jackson made some NFL rushing history in the Ravens’ 31-2 rout of the Texans, but it was one move on the sidelines that truly made one young fan’s Christmas Day extra special.

The superstar Baltimore quarterback took a trip to the locker room early in the fourth quarter, and upon his return to the field, gifted his black and purple beanie to one Ravens fan who wore a Jackson jersey at NRG Stadium in Houston.

The young supporter sitting near the tunnel entrance was all smiles with an ear-to-ear grin at his unexpected present.

Jackson’s play on the field wasn’t a bad gift, either.

The dual-threat quarterback rushed for 87 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown on the second play of the third quarter that helped put the game out of reach.

It marked Jackson’s first run of 40-plus yards since the 2022 season.

But it was a six-yard run later in the quarter that got him into the NFL history books.

With that scramble, Jackson passed Michael Vick (6,109 yards) for most rushing yards by a quarterback in NFL history.

It took just 102 games to surpass Vick’s career total, which came across 143 contests.

Thanks to Jackson and Derrick Henry (147 rushing yards), Baltimore didn’t need to do much in the passing game, but the signal-caller went 10 of 15 through the air for 168 yards and two touchdowns as the Ravens won their 11th game of the year.
