WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (-4) over Atlanta Falcons

Coming off an impressive 36-33 win over the Eagles, the Commanders are looking every bit like the playoff team their record says they are.

The Falcons are the opposite, boasting a win-loss mark that belies their talent level.

On Sunday night, Washington will host the Falcons, who have beaten up on two of the worst teams in football (the Giants and Raiders) over the past two weeks.

In the three weeks prior to those victories, Atlanta fell to solid teams in the Chargers, Broncos and Vikings in ugly fashion.

The 34-7 score of their game against Big Blue is even a bit misleading — 14 of those points came on interception returns for touchdowns, something they won’t be able to depend on against Jayden Daniels.

Rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. didn’t show enough last week to prove that he can elevate this team to anything better than below average.
