Why Daniel Murphy thinks the Dodgers aren’t evil, a lost season isn’t a certainty and the new-look Mets are ‘different’

Daniel Murphy was heavily involved in the MLB Players’ Association during his career, serving on the association’s executive board.

The former Mets second baseman was even under consideration recently to replace Tony Clark, who resigned as head of the MLBPA. The spot, though, was filled by Bruce Meyer, who had been the organization’s deputy executive director since 2022.

Murphy, who visited Mets camp this week to work Grapefruit League games for SNY, talked to Post Sports+ about the looming battle between labor and management with the collective bargaining agreement set to expire in December.

Are we certain to have a work stoppage after this season?
