Hundreds of people packed a London street on Saturday night in a spontaneous show of solidarity following the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — waving Israeli flags alongside Iranian banners.
The roughly 60-second clip, filmed under streetlights and posted with the caption “Persian and Jew celebrating together in London,” quickly went viral, racking up more than 3.5 million views, 93,000 likes and 18,000 reposts.
The video shows a large, jubilant crowd of immigrants and refugees from Iran celebrating together with Jewish Londoners.
Throughout the clip, the chant “Am Yisrael Chai” — Hebrew for “The people of Israel live” — rings out continuously.
Multiple Lion and Sun tricolor flags — the emblem of Iran before the 1979 Islamic Revolution — are visible waving beside blue-and-white Israeli flags.

The gathering appeared to be a direct reaction to Operation Epic Fury, the joint US-Israeli military campaign that killed Khamenei and dozens of senior Iranian officials earlier that day.
The strike has sparked sharply divided reactions globally — from mourning inside Iran to celebrations among segments of the Iranian diaspora who oppose the clerical regime.
