President Trump said Monday that America’s strikes on Iran have only just begun — and are going to escalate, warning that “the big one is coming.”
Trump said the US is not finished with its bombardment campaign in Iran following the weekend launch of “Operation Epic Fury,” telling CNN’s Jake Tapper that even larger strikes were on the way.
“We’re knocking the crap out of them,” Trump told the CNN anchor. “I think it’s going very well. It’s very powerful.
He added: “We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon.”
Operation Epic Fury saw the US and Israel conduct joint strikes across Iran over the weekend, with the attacks killing Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and dozens of other regime leaders.
Trump said that the attacks would intensify until his goals are completed — as he warned civilians to stay inside until the fighting concludes.
“Right now we want everyone staying inside. It’s not safe out there,” he said.
“We haven’t even started hitting them hard. The big wave hasn’t even happened. The big one is coming soon,” Trump added.
