President Donald Trump added another unique accolade to his legacy today as Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey presented him with the first-ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke.
President-elect Donald Trump is known for his fondness for Diet Coke, famously installing a red button in the Oval Office during his previous term to summon the beverage.
As he prepares to return to the White House, there is speculation about whether this feature will be reinstated.
On Tuesday, Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications, Margo Martin, wrote on X, “Tonight, President Trump received the first-ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey.”

During his first term, Donald Trump had a red button installed on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.
When pressed, this button summoned a butler who would deliver a Diet Coke on a silver platter.
Trump often used this feature to surprise guests, humorously noting that “everyone thinks it is [the nuclear button]” and that people “get a little nervous when I press that button.”
Upon taking office in 2021, President Joe Biden had the button removed. However, it reappeared a few weeks later, with its specific purpose under Biden’s administration remaining unspecified.
