The Ivy League’s top team, Yale, will square off with Penn on Sunday for the conference title and an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
The Bulldogs have looked like the class of the conference all year, going 24-5 overall and 11-3 in Ivy League play, and now sit one win away from cashing in on that dominance.
There’s no need to overthink it here, especially with the Bulldogs catching a Quakers team in the title game with less margin for error than usual.
Penn enters this game short-handed, with leading scorer Ethan Roberts, who averaged 16.9 points this season, ruled out for the conference tournament because of a concussion.
The Quakers overcame Harvard on Saturday, winning in overtime 62-60 thanks to a late layup from AJ Levine, despite Roberts’ absence, but they’ll have hard time keeping up with Yale’s high-octane offense without him.
Yale averaged the second-most points in the conference during the regular season (81.7) thanks to some sharpshooting from beyond the arc, averaging 40.1 percent from deep.
Overall, the Bulldogs were just so much better than the rest of the conference that its hard to imagine them not being the champs.
They outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points, which is more than double the second-best Ivy League team.
According to KenPom, Yale is in an entirely different tier.

The Bulldogs entered conference championships weekend at No. 76 in KenPom, while the rest of the Ivy ranked no higher than No. 152.
Keep it simple on Sunday with Yale, who should go marching next week.
