Bizarre video shows the moment a passerby looks at the camera and appears to swallow a lit cigarette on live TV during a report on President Trump’s visit to Ohio.
An attention-hungry smoker is seen walking behind a news reporter during a live segment on the visit when he takes the cigarette out of his mouth, holds it up — then appears to swallow it whole while staring into lens.
The tobacco-for-brains clown then started chewing the cigarette before the broadcast abruptly cut to a clip of Trump.
Footage of the surreal incident, during a live update by FOX 19 reporter Alexis Martin about President Trump’s Wednesday visit to Cincinnati, Ohio, quickly went viral.
Within a day of being shared on social media, the clip had been viewed over 500,000 times and liked thousands of times.
“Where does this rank in great moments in Cincinnati TV history?” journalist Jay Morrision of Cincinnati Bengals Talk wrote on X.
“And a legend is born,” another X user wrote.
“Florida Man’s got nothing on Ohio Man,” another added on X.
Others pointed out that the clip was more likely a party trick.
“He doesn’t eat it bro. We use to flick cigarettes in our mouth and back out with our tongue when we were young. I did it a bunch of times. Saliva protects from the initial burn and you have time to take it out,” one person wrote on X.
“Literally a magic trick done for years….. this is pathetic,” added another X user.
Martin took to social media to acknowledge the bizarre incident, and was praised for keeping her cool.
“Live TV can be unpredictable, to say the least! Thank you to everyone who checked in on me, I really appreciate the support,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Keeping your cool and keep it professional! Proud of you always!” one of the commenters wrote.
