President Donald J. Trump revealed this Sunday that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is evaluating the licenses of several news organizations accused of spreading false information about the war between the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Trump, in a post on his platform Truth Social, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative led by the FCC Chairman, Brendan Carr, whom he praised for investigating these «corrupt and highly unpatriotic media.»
The president accused outlets such as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal of disseminating «hoaxes» and news distortions, including AI-generated images that falsely show damage to U.S. military assets, such as the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.
Trump described these actions as «treason» and emphasized that Iran is a master in media manipulation, but that liberal media in the U.S. have amplified these lies to weaken the country.
Brendan Carr issued a direct warning on Saturday via X (formerly Twitter): «Broadcasters that are running hoaxes and news distortions –also known as fake news– have a chance now to correct course before their license renewals come up.»

The law is clear. Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they… https://t.co/7bBgnsbalw

Carr stressed that the law requires operating in the public interest, and that licenses could be revoked if this is not met.
This arises amid the escalation in Iran, where false reports have alleged serious damage to U.S. refueling aircraft and buildings on fire, which Trump debunked as fabrications intended to undermine national morale.
Media such as CNN and NBC have been criticized for amplifying these narratives, feeding the leftist agenda that prioritizes chaos over truth.
This action represents a necessary blow against the radical left-wing press, which has lost credibility by prioritizing globalist agendas over facts. With Trump in command, it is time to restore integrity in the media and ensure they operate for the American people, not against them.
