Denver crosswalks hacked with vile anti-Trump messages

Pedestrian crosswalks were hacked in Denver, Colorado, to deliver vile messages attacking President Trump.

Footage shared on social media showed anti-Trump messages being broadcast over the crosswalks’ audio signals over the weekend as pedestrians were given the go-ahead to cross.

“The walk signal is on. F–k Trump,” one robotic message said.

“The walk signal is on. Trump murders children,” another said.

City officials quickly discovered that at least two crosswalk push buttons had been meddled with on a stretch of East Colfax Avenue, the Denver Post reported.

It wasn’t immediately clear how the hacker managed to gain access to the system.

The hacked signals had only just been installed and weren’t meant to be operational yet, according to Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Communications Director Nancy Kuhn.

The push buttons were “still bagged and with their factory settings that included a default password that we now have learned is easy to find online,” she said.

Kuhn said city officials had since changed the password and insisted a repeat situation wouldn’t occur.

Police haven’t revealed if they have identified the hacker, or if they’ll face charges.
