The Mets are back in the New York Blue
The team unveiled new alternate road uniforms during Amazin’ Day at Citi on Saturday.
The blue jerseys have “New York” written across the chest with an orange outline.
The franchise’s iconic skyline logo is featured on the shirt sleeve.

Mets star Francisco Lindor got a first look at the new garb in the team’s clubhouse and tried out the new threads like a number of his other teammates in attendance.
The “New York” script mimics the unis the team wore in 1987 for just one season.
They’ll be in a pullover style rather than the button-up design like most baseball jerseys.
It also features a V-neck collar like the 1987 jerseys.
The latest edition to the Mets’ uniform collection comes a year after the team unveiled its New York City-inspired City Connect attire in 2024.
MLB teams are limited to just five jerseys at a time – an official home and road jersey, a City Connect jersey, and two alternates.
It’s likely the new pullover will replace the team’s blue home alternate, which the team wore only a handful of times in 2024.
The Mets are coming off a memorable run to the NLCS and made the free agent splash of the offseason by signing Juan Soto to a 15-year, $765 million contract.
