Deranged NYC woman charged in deadly scissor attack on elderly roommates: cops

A deranged woman was charged in a vicious scissor attack that left one of her elderly roommates dead and another seriously injured, authorities said Monday.

Oumou Bah, 43, was charged with murder after she allegedly wielded a pair of scissors and stabbed 74-year-old Hadiatou Bah multiple times in the head and arms, and cut another roomie, 72, on her back and arms inside the Ebbets Field Apartments on Bedford Avenue late Saturday, police said.

The older victim was rushed to the Kings County Hospital Center, where she succumbed to her injuries, while the younger woman was listed in stable condition, cops said.

The deadly attack stemmed from a bitter feud between roommates, sources said.

The alleged killer was taken into custody at the scene and also faces attempted murder and weapon possession charges, authorities said.

While the victim and suspect share the same last name, they are not related, according to the sources.

Neighbors previously told The Post that Oumou had moved in just five months ago and that a man who lived with the women was seen banging on the barricaded door screaming, “Let me in!” before cops arrived.

One neighbor described the two victims as “nice people” who “never argue with anyone.” 

“They’re very quiet, very loving, caring,” one resident said, adding that one of the victims worked as a home care attendant.

On Saturday evening, at approximately 10:27 PM, police responded to the inside 1700 Bedford Avenue, within the confines of the 71 Precinct and discovered a 74-year-old female with multiple stab wounds to the head and arms, and a 72-year-old female with stab wounds to the back and arm. EMS responded and transported the 74-year-old female victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where she was pronounced dead.  The 72-year-old female victim was removed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition. A person of interest was taken into custody on scene. The investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending a proper family notification. Arrested: Oumou Bah 43-year-old female 1700 Bedford Avenue Brooklyn, NY Charges: Murder Attempted Murder Criminal Possession of a Weapon ************************************************************************************* On Saturday, March 21, 2026, at approximately 2227 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault inside of 1700 Bedford Avenue, within the confines of the 71 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 74-year-old female with multiple stab wounds to the head and arms, and a 72-year-old female with stab wounds to the back and arm. EMS responded and transported the 74-year-old female victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where she was pronounced deceased.  The 72-year-old female victim was removed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition. A person of interest was taken into custody on scene.

Oumou’s arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court was pending Monday evening.
