WASHINGTON — Rep. Lauren Boebert stunned reporters Thursday by chastising “horny” lawmakers in Congress — three years after she was infamously caught on camera groping her date in public.
Reacting to the string of sex scandals that have rocked Capitol Hill and led to two resignations this week, the 39-year-old MAGA grandma vented that lawmakers need to return to religious values.
“Yeah, go to church, find Jesus. Like, I mean, why is everybody so horny here?” a baffled-sounding Boebert (R-Colo.) told reporters near the Capitol steps before walking away.

Back in 2023, Boebert went viral after getting ejected from a Denver performance of the musical “Beetlejuice after getting handsy with Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher.
The couple enraged fellow theater patrons by vaping and snapping photos during the show in violation of the theater policy.
“I was a little too eccentric. I am very known for having an animated personality. Maybe overly animated personality,” the rabble-rousing rep conceded to One America News Network.
“I was laughing, I was singing, having a fantastic time. Was told to kind of settle it down a little bit, which I did, but then my next slip-up was taking a picture.”

Around that time, Boebert was going through a divorce from husband Jayson, who publicly lamented that he had been “unfaithful to Lauren in so many ways.”
The couple’s eldest son, Tyler, was recently hit with another child abuse charge for allegedly letting his two-year-old son wander out of the home unattended.
On Tuesday, Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) resigned amid accusations of sexual misconduct with staffers.
Gonzales had sent suggestive text messages to at least two former staffers, asking one for a “sexy pic” and prodding another to “squeeze my balls.” One of the staffers, Regina Santos-Aviles, fatally set herself on fire last year.
The Republican later admitted to a “lapse in judgment” during an interview on a conservative talk radio show.
Swalwell has faced accusations of misconduct from at least five women, including claims of rape on at least two occasions, as well as sending sexually suggestive messages to subordinates.
The married 45-year-old has admitted to “mistakes in judgment” but no criminal wrongdoing.
Swalwell, who ended his campaign for California governor Sunday evening is now facing criminal investigations by the Justice Department, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Boebert has urged victims of alleged ill-treatment on Capitol Hill to reach out to her office.
“If your boss is mistreating you, or someone else in the office, tell somebody—come to my office,” she told reporters Wednesday. “If you want to remain anonymous, remain anonymous. Let one of us loudmouths get it out there for you. I’m happy to issue receipts on behalf of anyone.”
