A married couple who blogged about their “RV life” was found dead in a suspected murder-suicide at a Florida campground, according to authorities and reports.
Anissa Osborne, 56, and her husband, Christopher Osborne, 51, were discovered dead with gunshot wounds inside their RV at the Ocean Pond Campground in the Osceola National Forest on Sunday, First Coast News reported.
Police had been responding to a welfare check from concerned campers on Sunday morning when they made the grim discovery, the local outlet reported.
Investigators believe Christopher Osborne shot his wife, Anissa, before turning the gun on himself, but continue to investigate the incident, Baker County Sheriff’s Office officials said.
The couple worked as hosts at Ocean Pond Campground, where Anissa documented their RV lifestyle on Instagram and posted cheery photos beside her hubby on Facebook.
Anissa, who worked as a nurse before moving to the campground with her husband of 15 years, “appreciated the small things” and often talked about loving her “tiny life,” her cousin, Laura Lorenzo Curry, told First Coast News.
“She was very, very happy, just a very kind of free spirit,” Curry recalled. “She was a really vibrant, bubbly personality, absolutely hilarious.”
“We were so thrilled when we first met Chris because he was such a sweet soul,” Curry added. “But sometimes sweet souls can have a lot of things we don’t even know about.”
Christopher frequently posted about Anissa, writing “My wife, my angel. I can’t live without you,” in a Facebook picture of the pair smiling just months ago.
“He was always posting things about the love of his life and how much he loved his wife,” Christopher’s aunt, Sharon Alvarez, told the outlet.
“To know that he killed her… this makes no sense,” Alvarez said.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating the incident.
