Yesterday, the Donald J. Trump administration released its new Counter-Terrorism Strategy, a document that, along with the recently-released National Security Strategy (NSS), outlines the new priorities and concerns for US officials.
The new document unleashes fresh criticism of Europe, after the NSS said the continent faced ‘civilizational erasure’ due to unchecked mass migration.

“US President Donald Trump’s administration accused Europe of being an ‘incubator’ for terrorism fueled by mass migration, in a new counter-terrorism strategy unveiled on Wednesday.”
The new strategy focuses on rooting out ‘violent left-wing extremists’, notably ‘radically pro-transgender’ groups, while it places Latin-American drug cartels at the center of concerns.

“But some of its strongest language is reserved for Europe, home to numerous US allies who will be alarmed to see their continent in the Trump administration’s crosshairs once again.
‘It is clear to all that well-organized hostile groups exploit open borders and related globalist ideals. The more these alien cultures grow, and the longer current European policies persist, the more terrorism is guaranteed’, the strategy said.
‘As the birthplace of Western culture and values, Europe must act now and halt its willful decline’, said the strategy.”

“’Violent left-wing extremists’ and ‘extremist transgender ideology’ are among the most concerning threats facing the country, according to the Trump administration counterterrorism strategy released Wednesday.
[…] ‘We see a threat, we will respond to it, and we will crush it, whether it is the cartels, the jihadists, or violent left-wing extremists like antifa and like the transgender killers, the non-binary, the left-wing radicals who killed my friend Charlie Kirk, we will take them on, head on’, senior director for counterterrorism Sebastian Gorka told reporters on a call Wednesday.”
