The Mets are doing whatever they can to turn around their season, which now includes calling up top hitting prospect A.J. Ewing ahead of Tuesday’s game in Queens against the Tigers, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed.

Ewing, 21, is the Mets’ second-ranked prospect, according to MiLB, and hit .326 in 12 games in Triple-A after starting the season in Double-A Binghamton, where he slashed .349.

Ewing, taken in the fourth round of the 2023 draft, possesses impressive speed and the ability to hit the ball that could give the Mets a much-needed jolt.

The Mets have MLB’s worst record at 15-25 and lost back-to-back games to the Diamondbacks over the weekend.

The Metropolitans are also been dealing with a number of injuries, which currently includes Francisco Lindor, Jorge Polanco and Luis Roberts Jr. all on the shelf.

The Mets have the second-worst team batting average, RBIs and runs scored in Major League Baseball.
