Knicks one win from NBA Finals after convincing Game 3 win over Cavaliers

After 10 consecutive wins, with the latest unfolding Saturday night in Cleveland, the Knicks are now one away from the NBA Finals.

They defeated the Cavaliers 121-108 in Game 3 at Rocket Arena, using a balanced offense to slowly break open the game in the second half after leading by six points at the break.

And now, the Knicks will have a chance to secure their first NBA Finals berth since 1999 on Monday.

Their last loss occurred April 23, way back in the first round against the Hawks when they encountered a 2-1 series deficit and everything appeared to be spiraling out of control, but they’ve resembled a different team since.

New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns (32) holds the ball, while Cleveland Cavaliers forward Dean Wade (32) defends during the Eastern Conference Final.

Jalen Brunson took over in the third quarter Saturday, and eventually, by the time OG Anunoby hit a 3-pointer to give them their largest lead of the night at 17 points midway through the fourth quarter, the Knicks had done enough to move within a win of the league’s ultimate stage.
