Some NFL fans are convinced Chloe Kim played a role in Monday’s stunning Myles Garrett trade.
Just after it was reported that the Rams and Browns had agreed to a swap for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, several raced to social media to spout off outlandish theories that Garrett’s famous girlfriend had fingerprints on the deal.
“Chloe Kim I can’t prove it,” one X user wrote, “but I know you had something to do with this.”
Kim and Garrett have been dating since 2025, and with the Olympic snowboarder being a Los Angeles native, speculation that she might have been potentially involved in the blockbuster was rampant in online communities.
“Chloe Kim is responsible for this,” one posted on X.
“They got him for scraps,” another said, “I blame Chloe Kim.”
“the second the chloe kim news dropped they should’ve known he’d be in la by the next summer olympics,” another wrote.
Most, however, were simply excited for Kim and Garrett getting to continue their relationship in her hometown.
“good news for chloe kim who im sure will enjoy trips to LA more than cleveland,” one said.
“Good for him and Chloe Kim,” a different X user said, “she gunna be a lot happier in LA baby!!!”
Kim and Garrett first sparked dating rumors in 2025, when they showed up to an awards show in Tokyo with one another.
Since that time, they’ve become more and more public with their romance, with Garrett even carrying her out of the Time 100 Gala in New York City in front of a gaggle of photographers in April.
Both Kim and Garrett have been silent so far on the reported trade — though given the new location and Garrett’s longtime desire to play for a Super Bowl contender, smiling faces are no doubt on the horizon.
