Critics are blasting New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill’s inaction as anti-ICE mayhem rages out of control outside a Newark immigration detention center — with five more lefty goons arrested Friday night.

“Night after night of unhinged criminal riots while @GovSherrillNJ now cowers in the corner, tail between her legs, taking her marching orders from a gaggle of unhinged rioters & useful idiots in the liberal media who paint violent aggressors as victims,” ripped NJ Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia on X, reacting to the latest riot outside the federal facility.

“Her next steps are dictated by the fear of how her actions will impact votes in her quest for higher office,” added the Republican lawmaker, who is calling for federal intervention in Newark.

“This reactive mindset makes for terrible leadership. NJ is collateral damage in her audition for the Democrat presidential nomination,” she added.

Fantasia doubled down, telling The Post Saturday that Sherrill doesn’t have her priorities straight — and charged the lefty lawmaker is more interested in kicking soccer balls than fixing the mess in Newark.

“She’s bouncing around a soccer ball for the World Cup,” she said, referring to a Friday segment Sherrill did with PIX-11 promoting the Garden State’s co-hosting of the event starting next week.

“She’s posting about Pride Month; she’s doing everything on the planet — pretending like this isn’t happening, unfolding and escalating at Delaney Hall.

“It’s the most bizarre thing I’ve seen, knowing that there’s these really dangerous riots unfolding. She’s pretending as if it’s not happening.”

Eric Arpert, a top NJ Republican operative, called the mayhem “a mess” of Sherrill’s  “own making.”

“Her entire political career all Sherrill has had to do to win is be anti-Trump,” he slammed.

“But she’s not in Congress anymore. She can’t just stoke violent protestors for a photo op and run back to Washington. As Governor, she’s responsible for actually solving the problems now. Turns out the governor may not have figured that out until this week.”

NJ state Sen. Holly Schepisi likened the latest rioting to an “arsonist-firefighter situation.

“They’re throwing themselves on top of vehicles of the staff as they’re trying to leave work and really created a situation,” said the Bergen County pol who leads the Senate Republican Conference. “Somebody’s gonna get killed.”

She also told The Post that Sherrill “is in a very precarious position right now.”

“The very same group of self-appointed NJ progressives who were protesting less than seven months ago to have her elected are the very same people who now are protesting her,” she said.

“If I was the governor, I would either ensure a greater police presence immediately and keep it within New Jersey, or I would try to start working with the federal government and tone down the rhetoric and try to bring some calm before we turn into Minnesota. And I think we’re approaching it.”

Rioters have routinely clashed with state troopers and federal officers outside Delaney Hall since May 22, when 300 migrants inside went on a hunger strike over what they claimed were inhumane conditions. Since then, there have reportedly been more than 90 arrests.

On Friday, dozens of protesters tried to block employees from leaving a parking area.

The rioters – many wearing masks and construction helmets – brazenly stood in front of vehicles trying to exit the facility, banging on them and shouting “Shame on you! and “F—k you!,” according to video posted by FreedomNews.Tv.

One photographer got too close to a vehicle and was knocked to the ground.

Other rebel-rousers stood in front of vehicles, making failed attempts to get drivers to stop, and at least rioter is seen kicking the cars as they drove off.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency officers arrested four of Friday’s rioters for assaulting law enforcement officers, obstruction, and threats, while New Jersey authorities arrested another rioter who broke a vehicle’s windshield, said Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin.

“Anyone who assaults law enforcement will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Mullin on X Saturday.

“RIOTERS will not slow us down and ICE operations remain undeterred.”

Mike Crispi, who heads the pro-Trump super PAC America First Republicans in New Jersey, said he thinks the White House should sent in the National Guard.

“The Trump administration was highly effective in quelling those riots in LA [Los Angeles], he said.

“I think [the president] should do it. He’s in New Jersey right now, so hopefully he sees what’s going on, and sends [the Guard] there.”

The White House deferred comment to the DHS, which did not return The Post’s request for comment.

Sherrill’s reps did not return messages.
