The Democrat Party may be struggling to reconnect with working-class Americans, but that didn’t stop Hunter Biden from joking about a potential White House run alongside California Governor Gavin Newsom, and his reason for doing so is exactly what you’d expect.
In the latest display of Biden family arrogance and Democrat entitlement, Hunter Biden appeared on Gavin Newsom’s podcast and casually joked that he would only consider running for national office as Newsom’s vice presidential running mate in 2028, because the VP residence is “a lot cooler” and the job is “a lot easier” too.
The exchange happened during an episode of This Is Gavin Newsom. Newsom introduced his guest tongue-in-cheek as “Presidential candidate Hunter Biden,” referencing recent comments from President Donald Trump.
As The Gateway Pundit reported just days ago, President Trump had been asked about Hunter’s potential in a 2028 Democratic primary and noted that “past has something to do with winning an election” while comparing him favorably to other troubled Democrat candidates.

While Hunter Biden laughs about how “easy” the Vice President’s job is, millions of Americans are still dealing with the wreckage of the Biden years, open borders, record inflation, energy failures, and foreign policy disasters that The Gateway Pundit has covered relentlessly since day one.

Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom’s California remains a national embarrassment. Under his radical leadership, the state has become synonymous with homelessness encampments, smash-and-grab crime, businesses fleeing in droves, and residents escaping to states with sane governance. Newsom’s progressive experiment has been a disaster yet he apparently sees Hunter Biden as a useful political prop for his own national ambitions.
