2025 RBC Heritage predictions: Golf odds, picks, best bets at Harbour Town Golf Links

Welcome to one of the strangest weeks to handicap on the golfing calendar.

The entire sporting world will still be coming down from its Augusta high when the 2025 RBC Heritage gets underway at Harbour Town Golf Links on Thursday, so it will be interesting to see where the level of interest settles.

The PGA has tried to combat the post-Masters malaise by making the RBC Heritage — which takes place 150 miles away from Augusta in Hilton Head, S.C. — a signature event with a $20 million purse, but that doesn’t mean that fans will be nearly as invested as they were one week ago.

That is actually good news for bettors, as the market won’t be as liquid, which means you can pick off some soft numbers and find a few golfers who are flying under the radar after all the drama that unfolded at Augusta.

We’ll try to identify a few of those.

Sahith Theegala (80/1, FanDuel

It’s been a disappointing start to 2025 for Theegala.

The 27-year-old has only one top-20 finish in 11 starts, though he has missed only one cut this season.

Theegala scrapped his way to a T29 at the Masters last week, but he should be buoyant heading to Hilton Head.

The Pepperdine product has played in this event three times in his career, finishing 70th, fifth and runner-up.

Matt Fitzpatrick (80/1, FanDuel)

This is a bit of an ugly one given Fitzpatrick’s current form, but it’s hard to ignore his history at Harbour Town.

The Sheffield, England native has a win and a fourth-place finish in his past four trips to Hilton Head, and last year he came in 28th.

Fitzpatrick’s been more bad than good in 2025, but he did post a T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month.

That performance and his T40 at the Masters aren’t going to jump off the page, but they are small indicators that Fitzpatrick is starting to put things together.

Fitzpatrick regularly was listed near the top of the board not too long ago, so we know he has tournament-winning talent and what better place to rediscover that form than one of his happy hunting grounds.

Will Zalatoris (90/1, DraftKings

This is a classic case of recency bias. Zalatoris was a trendy pick at a shorter number than this at last week’s Masters, but a missed cut at Augusta has cooled the market on the 28-year-old.

It’s been tough sledding for Zalatoris to recapture his peak form from a few years ago, but he’s shown some flashes through the first chunk of 2025 with four finishes of 26th or better and just one missed cut in eight starts.

Max Homa (90/1, FanDuel)

The days of buying low on Homa may be over.

The 34-year-old finished T12 at the Masters, ending a streak of five straight missed cuts in fine fashion.

Homa noted before the Masters he felt his game was in a good place, and now the six-time winner will carry some confidence into Hilton Head.

Picking the right time to buy in on a struggling golfer is a key to finding success when it comes to betting, and this looks like the perfect opportunity to get a terrific number on a player with legitimate winning upside.
