Police are searching for two young teens who ran away from New Jersey Friday and were last seen fleeing MTA officers at a Connecticut train station, according to a report.
Braydon Morrisey, 14, Dominic Dilberto, 14, and William Connolly, 17, took off from an undisclosed location in Montville Township late Thursday and were seen at Denville Train Station early Friday evening, triggering a missing persons investigation with K-9s and drones.
On Saturday, MTA police detained Connolly at the Stamford train station, but the two 14-year-olds evaded protective custody and fled the scene.
Montville Township Police Department Chief Andrew Caggiano said that “we don’t have anything to say that they’re dangerous to themselves or others,” adding that “”It’s just because of their age, and they were listed as missing persons … we’re just following a missing persons investigation.”
Law enforcement believes that the duo is getting “farther and farther away from Montville,” according to Fox News.
Morrissey was last seen wearing white sneakers, dark-colored sweatpants and a green hoodie. Dilberto was last seen wearing all-black clothing.
Montville Township Police Department is taking the lead with the investigation and is working closely with the MTA in Connecticut.
They remain in contact with the boys’ parents since they were reported missing.
