Jets pass rush at full strength and ready to wreak havoc

Observations from the Jets’ training camp on Tuesday.

What a rush!

The Jets pass rush looked ferocious on Tuesday thanks to them being full strength for the first time in training camp.

Jermaine Johnson did team drills for the first time and he was in the backfield frequently along with Will McDonald and Quinnen Williams.

Drop zone

There were a lot of drops in practice. Breece Hall had a few. Rookie receiver Arian Smith had one.

Garrett Wilson lost a pass that was somewhat of a difficult catch but he probably should have had it.

Caught my eye

Defensive coordinator Steve Wilks spent some time on the sideline instructing running back Braelon Allen.

It was unclear what he was going over with him but it was interesting to see a defensive coach working with an offensive player.

Injury report

CB Sauce Gardner returned to practice after missing time with a calf injury but he limped off after an awkward play in the end zone. Coach Aaron Glenn said Gardner got kicked and he was fine.

Johnson practiced in team drills for the first time in training camp. Rookie CB Azareye’h Thomas (shoulder) returned to practice.
