The presumed World Cup favorites have officially been eliminated, preventing them for a record-tying third consecutive trip to the finals.
After a stunning 2-0 loss against Lamine Yamal’s seemingly-unbeatable Spain, Kylian Mbappé’s France has been relegated to a third place match at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday, July 18.
If you’d like to see Kyky, Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembélé on the pitch just one more time in the Cup, last-minute tickets are now available.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats was $1,184 including fees on SeatGeek.
100-level seats start at $1,449 including fees.

While fans of Les Bleus are certainly disappointed following their defeat at the hands of Spain, the country has a lot to be proud of from their 2026 World Cup efforts.
Prior to this match, Didier Deschamps’ team handily beat Senegal, Iraq and Norway in the group stage before shutting out Sweden, Paraguay and Morocco in the knockout rounds.
Their next match — against whoever loses between Argentina and England in the semifinal — will be bittersweet.
According to ESPN, “Deschamps’ 14-year tenure as France’s head coach will come to an end” after the third place skirmish in Miami. He’ll be replaced by Les Bleus legend Zinedine Zidane in the spring.
Additionally, should Lionel Messi and Argentina fall, this third place match becomes a rematch of the ’22 World Cup, which La Albiceleste won on penalty kicks.
And, for fans, revenge against Messi and co. may be an even more satisfying conclusion to their wildly successful campaign.
Although taking on England again after defeating them in the ’22 quarterfinals may be just as tantalizing a matchup.
Either way, we’ll see you on the pitch in Miami.
