NEW: Pentagon Identifies the Two U.S. Service Members Killed in Friday Attack by Iranian Terrorists – President Trump Weighs In

The Department of War has revealed the identities of two American soldiers who were killed last week by Iranian terrorists, and President Trump has responded to the attack.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, two U.S. service members in Jordan were killed in action as U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) and partner forces defended against Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks on July 17.

Additionally, one service member is currently missing in action.

On Monday, the War Department confirmed the identities of the two soldiers murdered by Iran: Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas, and First Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Their deaths raised the number of service members killed since the launch of Operation Epic Fury by the US and Israel on Feb. 28 to a total of 16.

On Saturday, Trump weighed in on the deaths, calling them “a very sad thing,” during a phone call with a NewsNation reporter.

“We hate to see it happen. They were in service of our country,” Trump added. “And they, every one of them, will never allow, they’ll fight to the death. But never allowing Iran to have a nuclear weapon.”

Trump also said that he “couldn’t care less,” when asked about Iran’s announcement that it was no longer abiding by a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding.

In addition to Friday’s tragic incident, The Gateway Pundit also revealedthat several US service members were injured this week in Iranian attacks on two Jordanian bases.

US Central Command on Sunday announced a US service member was killed in action by a downed Iranian drone in Iraq, and another service member was wounded.

According to CENTCOM, the service member was killed during a controlled detonation of an unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone.

This soldier has not yet been identified.

One US official told the Washington Post that this all comes as the U.S. is planning for a “wider war.”
