A stranger shoved a 62-year-old man into a pillar after a dispute at a Queens subway station that left him with a fractured skull, police said.
The victim had just stepped off a northbound No. 7 train at the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue station in Long Island City just after 4 p.m. Saturday when the maniac started arguing with him, according to authorities.
The brute – who did not know the victim – then allegedly pushed him, causing him to fall backwards and crack his head on a pillar, police said.
The blow fractured the victim’s skull and caused a cut on the back of his head, according to cops.
He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
The suspect had already bolted from the subway station by the time cops arrived.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the clash between the two men.
