Southborough Police this week released bodycam footage of Massachusetts Democrat Party Chairman Stephen Kerrigan’s DUI arrest.
Stephen Kerrigan was pulled over for driving erratically in June and arrested on drunk driving charges.
Kerrigan was sentenced to probation.
According to the complaint, Kerrigan was driving back from an event in Boston shortly after midnight on June 13 when a police observed his BMW driving in the middle of lanes, WCVB reported.
Kerrigan told the police officer that he drank two beers before dinner but denied that it impaired his driving.
“Do you think those beers are affecting your driving at all? the officer asked Kerrigan.
“I do not,” Kerrigan said.
“That was pretty egregious, what I watched,” the police officer said to Kerrigan during shortly after he pulled him over.
The police officer wrote in a report that he could not smell alcohol on Kerrigan due to a strong odor of cologne.
Kerrigan was slurring his speech and showed impairment during his field sobriety test.
According to WCVB, Kerrigan’s blood alcohol content was 0.089%.
“A probation document indicates that Kerrigan agreed to participate in the Massachusetts impaired driving program and pay $600 in fines. His license was suspended for 45 days,” WCVB reported.
