Gov. Gavin Newsom and wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom are offloading their Sacramento-area home — listing the palatial property for double what they paid eight years ago.

California’s first couple listed the 12,000-square-foot Fair Oaks home for $7.5 million Tuesday, according to its Zillow real estate listing.

The secluded home at 7640 Tobia Way sits on 8 acres and has been used largely for events like a Christmas party that reportedly irritated neighbors in the exclusive Northern California gated community.

The 7-bed, 12-bath estate “offers an unparalleled combination of grandeur, comfort, and effortless entertaining, with a resort-style pool, full-size tennis court, private casita, and impressive 5,000-bottle wine cellar,” according to its listing.

Its primary bathroom is “a destination unto itself,” according to the listing, offering a “spa-like experience” that extends into an outdoor “resort-style” private pool, cold plunge, and hot tub akin to “a personal wellness oasis just steps from the primary suite.”

Other amenities include a wet bar, four fireplaces, a weight room, many varieties of trees on the “meticulously landscaped” lush grounds and sweeping views thanks to its position on a bluff near the American River.

The couple, who purchased a $9 million home in Marin County in 2024, snagged the Fair Oaks residence in 2018 for $3.7 million through an LLC tied to Newsom’s cousin Jeremy Scherer, who worked for the governor’s PlumpJack hospitality firm.

The Newsoms earned between $1.7 million and $2 million annually between 2022 and 2024, according to tax returns released last month.

That largely reflected income from the governor’s wine businesses combined with his roughly $200,000 government salary and his wife’s nonprofit income.

The powerful couple’s finances came under scrutiny this year after the governor revealed that his family and associates were under investigation by federal law enforcement, which Newsom described as a political hit job.

The probes are reportedly examining Siebel Newsom’s taxes and other potential issues surrounding the governor, who is termed out at the end of this year and widely expected to run for president in 2028.
