Excited bystander flashes his butt cheeks as hours-long police pursuit rolls through LA neighborhood

It was a full moon in Los Angeles Wednesday night.

A police pursuit through Los Angeles ended in North Hollywood with a suspect in custody — and an unexpected cameo caught on live television.

A police chase involving a suspect behind the wheel of a white Lexus sedan kicked off around 9 p.m. The driver, wanted for allegedly assaulting a police officer, led cops through residential streets for nearly two hours.

Spectators poured outside as the pursuit snaked through multiple communities, with people filming on their phones and even waving as the suspect cruised past.

One bystander took things a little too far, dropping his pants and flashing his bare backside as the Lexus rolled by — prompting a news helicopter covering the chase to quickly zoom out.

The chase continued on the 101 Freeway after being on surface streets in North Hollywood.

Police arrested the suspect in North Hollywood after two hours of pursuit.

The suspect, reportedly tied to an Armenian gang and wanted on multiple felony charges, then led authorities on a slow-speed crawl down the 5 Freeway, puttering along at just 30 mph with a blown front tire.

For nearly two hours, he appeared unfazed, casually chain-smoking cigarettes out the window as cops trailed behind. About 90 minutes into the pursuit, LAPD officials were considering calling in the Metro Division or SWAT, according to KTLA.

The bizarre chase finally ended when the suspect pulled into a Rodeway Inn and made a run for the second floor, where officers quickly cornered and tackled him before taking him into custody.
