Leonard Williams got a ring and a big payday.
The Super Bowl champion and former Jets and Giants star agreed to a massive three-year $90 million extension with the Seahawks on Thursday, according to reports.
Williams, 32, was drafted No. 6 overall by the Jets in the 2015 NFL Draft and was a second-team All-Pro player last year with Seattle.
He’s a three-time Pro Bowler (2016, 2024, 2025) spanning his 11 seasons.
The Seahawks acquired Williams from the Giants in October 2023 in exchange for a 2024 second-round draft pick and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick.
The Giants turned those draft picks into safety Tyler Nubin (No. 47 overall) and offensive lineman Marcus Mbow (No. 154).
Big Blue acquired Williams from the Jets in 2019 in exchange for third-and fifth-round picks (safety Ashtyn Davis and cornerback Michael Carter).
Williams, 32, appears to be on a Hall of Fame trajectory since departing New York.
Williams boasted tantalizing production while playing at USC from 2012 to 2014 and was too good to pass up for the Jets, though he was never able to put it all together while in Florham Park.
While with the Jets, Williams played in all 16 games for each of his first four seasons before being traded to the Giants during the fifth year of his rookie contract.
He had an eye-popping year for Big Blue in 2020 when he posted 11.5 sacks, which is still his career high.
Ahead of his 2023 free agency, the Giants and general manager Joe Schoen decided to trade him before having to pay him, which the Seahawks have now done happily twice.
Seattle paid Jaxson Smith-Njigba $168.6 million over four years this offseason, and standout defensive back Devon Witherspoon also received a four-year $132 million contract.
