The Houston Texans have placed running back Joe Mixon on the reserve/non-football injury list. The running back has been out with a foot injury that he sustained while away from the team.
As part of being moved to injured reserve, Mixon will officially miss at least the first four games of the season. The Texans made the announcement on Monday, saying that they will officially move Mixon to IR on Tuesday.

The team did not provide any additional details on the injury, simply describing the rules of injured reserve before saying that it would “provide further updates at an appropriate time.”
