D’Angelo Ponds believes he’s prepared. He’s healthy.
He’s just waiting on the green light from the Jets coaching staff.
“This is probably the best I’ve felt since [my injury],” the rookie second-round pick told The Post after practice Wednesday. “I just feel good, just ready for my opportunity. Whenever the opportunity comes, I’m ready to take advantage of it.”
The former Indiana star was surprisingly inactive Sunday against the Packers after a full week of practice. It sounds like the Jets are being cautious with Ponds after he suffered a calf injury the first day of training camp and didn’t return to practice until Sept. 8.
