The lone Lindsay Clancy holdout juror is getting back to business.
Michael Desronvil is returning to “normalcy” after rising to prominence for his role in the killer mom’s mistrial, and plans to return to his day job next week.
Desronvil’s attorney, Edward Paltzik, told TMZ his client has been “laying low” since the trial that captivated the nation.
Paltzik said Desronvil has taken some time to himself, needing to “process everything” that had happened, regularly attending church and spending time with his girlfriend.
“He wants to eventually tell his story, but for right now he has no plans to speak publicly … because it’s been a lot,” Paltzik told the outlet, saying for now Desronvil is looking forward to returning to “normalcy.”
“He’s incredibly grateful and touched by everyone that has supported him and donated,” he added.
The lawyer said he’s spoken with Massachusetts State Police and the District Attorney over concerns for his client’s safety, fearing that he’s been vilified and targeted, and that Desronvil is going to file a bar complaint against Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, calling for him to be suspended or disbarred.
Since the trial wrapped, Reddington has pressed for an investigation into Desronvil’s conduct before and during the trial, including whether he lied on a pre-trial questionnaire and whether his use of a cell phone in the deliberation room was a breach.
Paltzik called Clancy a “demon” and Reddington “a disgrace” in a podcast appearance this week, and warned that seeking an “invasive” investigation into a member of a jury could have chilling effects on people’s inclination to perform their civic duty.
He stated his client refusing to budge in the deliberation room was him standing up against “evil.”
Reddington declined to respond to Paltzik’s invective.
