Welcome back, Red Zone Yankees.

You are Groundhog Day reliable.

Flip the calendar to October and here you are — and there you go. Annual. Dependable. Disposable.

I dubbed you the Red Zone Yankees last year after you beat the Red Sox in the wild-card round, then lost to the AL East champ Blue Jays in the division series. Just another year of journeying close enough to see the championship end zone — but unable to get in.
