The boyfriend and brother of Cornell 7 accuser Jane Doe were held at gunpoint by police responding to a sick swatter lying about a mass shooter massacring people in her family home, according to her lawyer.
The alleged victim of a gang rape at Cornell University has been repeatedly “swatted” since filing a lawsuit against seven Chi Phi fraternity brothers last month, according to her attorney and police reports obtained by the New Yorker.
In one terrifying incident on Oct. 6, cops were dispatched to Doe’s family home, far from Cornell’s campus in Ithaca, New York, after an anonymous male caller got hold of her address and called 911, according to the report.

The caller told dispatch he was inside the home, had shot his mother, turned the gun on his sister, and was “going to kill her also,” the report stated.
When police arrived at the house, they saw a car pulling out of the driveway, and an officer drew his gun and ordered the two young men inside to get out of the vehicle and lie on the ground, according to the report.
The pair — who complied with cops — were later identified as Jane Doe’s brother and boyfriend, police said.
As the officer patted the men down for weapons, Doe’s father ran out of the house to confront the cops.
“I’m the dad. What’s going on?” he shouted — before quickly explaining what was behind it.
“My daughter is Jane Doe, the victim of the Cornell 7 rape case. We are being threatened by numerous unknown people,” the dad told police.

While officers were still on the scene and checking the house to ensure no one was harmed, the swatter phoned 911 a second time — saying he was armed with an AR-15 and was about to kill everyone in the house.
Doe’s family reported receiving multiple swatting calls in recent weeks, including one incident where a 911 caller said the house was on fire, and another who threatened to bomb the property, the report said.

The family has been forced to tape pieces of paper over the windows of their home in response to the threats, Doe’s attorney, Thomas Giuffra, told the New Yorker.
He added that Doe has received hundreds of death threats via phone calls, texts, and social media messages since filing her lawsuit in late September.
Doe alleges she was sexually assaulted by Matthew Ingalls, Jonathan Newell, Winston Lee, Gillio Lopes, Diego Sarabia, Scott Norris and Scott Kretzschmar at a Chi Phi fraternity party on Oct. 19, 2024.
All seven have denied wrongdoing and none have faced any criminal charges to date, although two students were expelled from Cornell at the time.
Doe claims that the complaint was not taken seriously by either Cornell, campus police, or Tompkins County authorities, after they refused to bring any charges and said that her account of the night did not point to any non-consensual sexual activity.
