Myles Garrett and Chloe Kim are an athletic power couple.
However, the Rams edge rusher and Olympic snowboarder are both recovering from injury. Kim spoke to Yahoo Sports about Garrett’s return to the field and how they support each other throughout the rehab process.
“We don’t talk too much about our jobs per se, and our sports. I think that’s like a really fun thing about our relationship,” Kim said.
“But the thing about Myles and everyone who knows him is this he is such a hard worker and he is doing everything he can to get back out there. Doing everything he can to get back stronger and he’s well on his way.
“The thing about that man is he is stubborn in the best ways, and no injury is going to hold him back.”
Garrett debuted with the Rams in their season opener against the 49ers in Australia, but was uncharacteristically a nonfactor for much of the game. The Rams quickly put the reigning Defensive Player of the Year on injured reserve after it was revealed Garrett required arthroscopic knee surgery.
Since then, Garrett has been sidelined and Rams fans are eager for his return. Los Angeles has struggled to start the season with a 3-4 record trailing the first-place 49ers and Seahawks in the division.
However, Garrett should provide a huge boost to the defensive line upon his return. The latest update revealed the Rams edge rusher could play Week 8, but that has not been confirmed.
For Kim, her boyfriend’s return to the field makes her enthusiastic for two key reasons.
“I’m really excited to see him back out there and I’m so excited to wear a cute outfit to the games,”
Kim said.
“That’s what I’m really looking forward to is cheering for him and a cute outfit.”
