President Trump reveals how he’ll still be able to get things done if Dems take over after midterms

WASHINGTON — President Trump has a simple answer for stopping Democrats if they take control of both houses of Congress Tuesday.

“I guess I’ll become Mr. Veto,” the president told The Post’s Miranda Devine on her “Pod Force One” podcast in an episode that will drop Monday.

“I’m not going to let them ruin it,” Trump continued.

Trump suggested he’ll still be able to get things done even if Dems take over in the midterms.

“And then at some point, we’ll probably make deals. That’s what’s happened. I mean, this wouldn’t be the first time.”

He added: “They’ll be sending stuff up. You veto it.

“And eventually, after a month or two of getting all vetoed, they’re just wasting [time], they come over, and you make a deal. I think that probably would happen, but hopefully we don’t have to worry about that.”

So far, Trump has only vetoed two bills during his second term.

He vetoed 10 during his first term.
