Even on a bye week, the Giants’ outlook has improved dramatically.

John Harbaugh’s group has moved to clear favorite status to win the NFC East this week despite not playing a game, shifting from +170 to -155 on BetMGM.

The massive move comes after the Cowboys blew a ridiculous game to the Arizona Cardinals, allowing Gardner Minshew to drive down the field with a minute left and steal a victory from the jaws of defeat.

Dallas came into Sunday’s game as a massive seven-point favorite, one of the week’s highest, but their defense let them down late.

BetMGM has the Eagles at +400 to win the NFC East, followed by the Commanders at +550 and the Cowboys at +225.

The Giants (4-2-1) have the early tiebreaker lead over the Cowboys after a Week 1 win, the only game that Jaxson Dart completed.

With J.J. McCarthy in the fold as the starting quarterback, Big Blue has a golden chance to win the NFC East division.

The Giants are coming off an overtime win over the Houston Texans as 10-point underdogs in McCarthy’s first game as the Giants starter.

In Week 9, the Giants will face off with the Eagles, a team that has lost six straight games after starting the season 2-0.

After that, though, they will face the Commanders in a game with massive divisional implications, after the two teams tied earlier this season.

The trade deadline will be something to watch, as Jonathan Taylor, among others, is expected to be traded, which could bolster either team’s roster to close the year.
