The tough-on-crime cousin of admitted UnitedHealthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione narrowly won a local election in Baltimore Tuesday night.

Nino Mangione, a Republican, managed to eke out a win against Democrat Shawn McIntosh in the race for Baltimore County Council’s District 5, TMZ reported.

The civicly-minded Mangione, who is Luigi’s first cousin, won the election by four points, running a campaign promising support for law enforcement and harsher punishments for criminals.

“Violent offenders should be made to serve maximum penalties, showing repeat offenders that their actions will no longer be tolerated,” reads one campaign promise on Mangione’s website.

Nino had previously served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 2019 until 2026.

He also hosts “The Right Side,” a conservative talk radio show on local Baltimore station WCBM.

Nino’s cousin Luigi pleaded guilty to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in August.

“I shot Mr. Thompson,” Mangione admitted inside Manhattan Criminal Court, copping to the Dec. 4, 2024 assasination of the married father of two.

Nino posted on X that the prominent Baltimore family was “shocked and devastated” after his cousin was cuffed and offered condolences to Thompson’s family in a 2024 statement.
